From Mortifis@1:103/705 to All on Sat Apr 10 18:22:09 2021
I am still trying to track down why alleycat is not showing up in InterBBS list. I ran chksetup.js and was presented with this possible clue:

    Invoking: check_bbs_list
!'AlleyCat! BBS' BBS entry on vert.synchro.net is different than local Invoking: check_syncdata
    Invoking: check_imsg_list
!AlleyCat! BBS is not listed in /sbbs/ctrl/sbbsimsg.lst

alleycat does show up in the nightly Synchronet BBS List.

Any ideas what I may have broken?

That's pretty normal when you make a change. It can take 7 days to send an update to Vertrauen (by default).

    Invoking: check_syncdata
    Invoking: check_imsg_list
!AlleyCat! BBS is not listed in /sbbs/ctrl/sbbsimsg.lst

Same problem as before, your system isn't responding consistently to systat requests over UDP.

I don't think it has been working for you yet.

Thing is, I haven't made any changes for well over a week, several weeks even, other than update on Feb 14th 2021 when I migrated to my rpi4 and sbbsimsg, well my systat anyway, hasn't worked since.

When I run scanmyports.ssjs on vert it shows systat successfull (most of the time). I'm just gonna blame it on solar flares or this rpi4 buster and say whatever :-)

Thanks for looking into that for me.

BTW, thank you & ya'll for 3.19a update, no issues other than my rpi is no longer dependant on external libmoz185-dev, first time in 3 years I haven't needed that in my make args.

You can query your BBS entry on Vertrauen using finger, e.g.
    $ finger '?bbs:AlleyCat! BBS@vert.synchro.net'

And then compare the results with your own entry stored in your data/sbbslist.json file. If you run chksetup.js with the '-v' option, it'll show you the two objects for comparison.
