• CTRL-Z when replying to E-Mail

When sending a *new* E-mail via FSEditor, after pressing CTRL-Z the user is presented with a message such as:Save 8 characters (2 lines).E-mail sent to Keyop #1[Hit a key]However, when *replying* to an E-mail via FSEditor, there is no such message. The editor quits silently and the user is taken to the next message to read - unsure if the previous edit was sent or not. (The message is actually sent).Suggestion - present the similar confirmation message when a user does a CTRL-Z in a *reply*.

Here's an e-mail reply I just wrote, using fseditor (and the built-in mail reader interface):Saved 417 characters (11 lines).E-mail sent to Digital Man #1. So... maybe there's just a screen clear in your case? Maybe check your scroll-back buffer?

Are you using the msglist.js module or some other message lister/reader thing? --- SBBSecho 3.13-Linux

BTW, you can send yourself mail to test this - you shouldn't have to use 2 user accounts.

Hi Rob, yes I can also send to myself to replicate the issue.I'm logged into vert now and I don't have the same issue, but the interface looks different. My BBS (default setup) has a message list that I can scroll up and down after the [E] [R] from the main menu.On your BBS, its reading the messages one at a time.... then when I do [A] reply to message I do get the "Email Sent".

What you're describing is msglist.js.I the "Email sent" notice is being displayed, it's just clearing the screen immediately after without any kind of delay or hit a key prompt. Easy "fix".

How odd - I'm not getting a Sent message when I scroll back....

    Just tried:

    - E-mail a user [E]email, [S]end mail to a local user
    - login as that user
    - select [E]email then [R]read from main menu
    - select new message to read
    - then [R]reply
    - enter some text
    - then CTRL-Z and then I'm passed back to the previous read message..... No Message Sent prompt.....

    Thoughts?

The terminal just wasn't capturing it, but was was being sent/displayed.
