I installed today, rather did the windows upgrade of Synchroet 3.18c and all works well. I do have some problem with the Bullshit module. I created a local message base named Bulletins and the internal code is BULLSHIT. I posted a message in the Bulletins message base which is under the Local Message.

But It does not display the message, so I seem to have overlooked something. Any suggestions?

Also Oneliner js is not working now. The control panel gives an error message of: 0000 JSON JSON Service Error: {2948} Unknown Module ONELINERS

It was working with my last version 3.17

Does that message group have an internal code prefix? If so, then you full the internal code would include both the code prefix and the suffix (e.g. "LOCAL_BULLSHIT").

I would hope there to be a warning or error message displayed or logged if you got the internal code of the message base wrong in your bullshit.ini file, but it does not appear to be the case.

It was working with my last version 3.17

Did you over-write your local ctrl/json-service.ini file maybe? Double check that "oneliners" is listed in there.

This error means that you're connecting to a JSON-DB server, but that server is not hosting a ONELINERS DB module.

Take a look at xtrn/oneliners/settings.ini, which says which server and port this module connects to.

If you want to host your own wall, be sure that 'server' points to the address of the BBS you enabled the ONELINERS DB module on.

Double-check ctrl/json-service.ini, you should have a section like:

[oneliners]
dir=../xtrn/oneliners/

It's crucial that the section name is spelled correctly.

Many people forego hosting their own wall and just use mine instead, in which case you can use bbs.electronicchicken.com 10088 for 'server' and 'port' respectively.

Well, to correct it was not in the json-service.ini and it was not pointing to your server. Got those corrected and all is well.

I created the local message area as BULLETIN and followed your instructions. The internal local message based does not have local_ so I entered in the ini file the name of the message base BULLETIN.

Anyways logged in and posted a message in local message base BULLETIN and then logged out and back in as myself and as another user and neither time did my message appear.

I will continue to work with it. More likely it is something I overlooked that should be corrected to work.
