    Hello All!

Been trying to update to 3.20 (many times..) breaking lots of things in the process. This last attempt I did a fresh build of 3.20 and copied in my data (according to wiki, migrating to new install) those 5 or so dirs from my backup. Ran upgrade_to_v320

    output.

upgrade - Upgrade Synchronet BBS to 3.20
!SBBSCTRL environment variable not set, using default value: /sbbs/ctrl

    Loading configuration files from /sbbs/ctrl
    Converting from user.dat to /sbbs/data/user/user.tab
    15 users converted successfully (15 users/second), largest (#8) = 603 bytes, avg = 549 bytes
    Upgrade successful.

Users, are there none of the BBS data like its name, etc Fidonet and sportsnet disappeard... Do I have to rebuild all those things? Is there a better way I should have went about this? I have been reading and working on it since tuesday I believe.

    Any input appreciated.

    Regards,

    Rick

It sounds like you didn't run 'jsexec update'.

so proper way would be build 320 copy the data I need from working 3.18 and just run jsexec update?

Correct: update.js will automatically run upgrade_to_v319 and upgrade_to_v320 as needed.
