    I can't seem to add more than 15 ansi scores when logged onto the bbs using the add function. In \data\text I see a score.ini and score.ixt it does not update. Do i need to complie before it shows up? If so what would the command line be?

    The data/text/*.ixt file is legacy, not used in SBBS v3.18+. The "general text file section" (or gfiles section) is now handled by exec/text_sec.js and uses the data/text/*.ini files as the indexes to the text files.

    Do i need to complie before it shows up? If so what would the

    No, nothing needs to be compiled.

    I just tested text_sec.js here myself and was able to add text files successfully. So more information is needed on your issue.

    Thank you. I created a new catagory and i think i figured it out. My old groups had a different syntax when writing to the *.ini file. Example:

    new:
    [YTSCORE.ASC]
    desc=YT 3.6c [missles enabled]
    path=d:\sbbs\xtrn\dosdoorx\yt\YTSCORE.ASC

    old:
    [d:\sbbs\xtrn\dosdoorx\yt\YTSCORE.ASC
    desc=YT 3.6c [missles enabled]

    With this info I can rebuild my game score section.

    Looks like the close-bracket (]) character was missing?

    With this info I can rebuild my game score section.

    Interesting. The update.js will migrate old .ixt files to .ini format. Do you happen to have a copy of the originally migrated .ini file you can compare or share with me? The original score.ixt file might help me to identify the cause as well.

    As it turns out, i did not figure it out <g>. I'll try and give more info:

    The issue happends when I try and add a another text file with the same file name. See the Yankee Trader example below. When I try and add YT game 2 it will just overwrite the last one. Note, I'm adding this by being logged onto the BBS, not by editing the *.ini file myself.

    example:

    Yessir.. this is whats currently in my data/text. and I went back to my backups before I upgraded to 3.19b a few weeks ago and its the same.
