Newbie question, Can Synchronet auto-add fidonet file areas? I have it adding message areas, but I'm stuck on the file areas.
The files arrive, the .tics have the appropriate passwd, but tickit just abandons the file with a middle finger.

I think you must import an area list (e.g. filegate.zxx file) into SCFG->File Areas.

Hey I use addfiles running jsexec addfiles -all does the trick in your exec folder.

I add the collected files into the appropriate area then run the above.

Could create a little script too I suppose

fully auto not sure as of yet bud

    Cheers

    Martin

Thanks. I ve been using addfiles in individual dirs to manually add files because I haven't figured out auto-add from scratch. Eventually I'll get it. For example, does the shortname have to be the same as the Internal code and/or the directory name? Patience is a virtue! (I haven't got) :-)

No, the short name does not have to be the same as the internal code and/or directory name.
