Is there a way to get uploading through the ECWEB4? That would be cool if that's even possible.

Yes, but I only get a few k uled and then it stops. My iPad only works with internet protocols the best.

FTP is an internet protocol. Use that to upload then?

I can't seem to get FTP to work with iPad for some reason. I put in the address and then nothing happens. It just sits there in oblivion. Do you use your iPad to FTP with?
Maybe you can help me set it up by giving me some information.

Nope.
Searching the Internet seems to work just fine though: https://www.macworld.com/article/217569/using-ftp-with-an-ipad.html

I got an FTP app and got into your miscellaneous section and tried to upload a 15 byte test text file and the app uploaded it finishing with an error "unable to perform action". See what I'm talking about DM?
Maybe it's time to get a Microsoft Surface Pro, perhaps?

I see this in my FTP server log:
May 14 07:31:16 cvs sbbs: ftp 0079 Hostname: S0106bc9b683c0b7e.vs.shawcable.net [96.48.151.84]
May 14 07:31:55 cvs sbbs: ftp 0079 <Guest> cannot upload to /main/MISC (insufficient access)
I don't allow "Guest" to upload into public directories. Authenticating as "The Millionaire" instead should fix that.

It'd probably make a lot of BBS-related things easier. My daughters have the Surface Pros, primarily for schoolwork, and they love them. They use the pen input a lot more than I would have thought.

This time I did that. Same error.

What kind of case are your daughters using for it?

Yes there is, but I think it's a sysop-only feature and currently only implemented on the Mail page.
(RIP Mortifis, who requested that feature.)

How about a refresh rate of 60 for ECWEB4 so that it updates messages instead of doing it manually?

It's exceedingly annoying to have a webpage change its layout of its own volition while you're navigating it, so this raises all kinds of other problems. At best, when I finish the new forum page, you'll maybe get an unobtrusive pop-up when new messages appear in a sub or thread, and you can click on it to load them or reload the page.
