The urinary bladder stone surgery went well.

When they did a cystoscopy a month agi, they discovered how big it was
(the urologist somehow missed it last time). But, he said they blasted
it to smithereens this time, then irrigated the bladder to flush things
out. Yet, a combination of drinking 10 pitchers of ice water, and a
massive dose of Lasix, meant I was filling up the male urinal bottle on
an hourly basis for 12 hours. As a result, I got no sleep last night.

But, now my task is the funeral arrangements for my 92 year old Mom,
who died last Friday...and the disposition of her estate.

So sorry to hear -- I guess not too unexpected but always a shock nontheless.

    Dallas,

    How did it go?

Apparently pretty well. I have a follow-up cystoscopy just before Thanksgiving. I'll be thankful if I don't have any more stones.

I knew it was an eventual reality (as it is for all of us), but you're
never ready for it. Now, I'm trying to tie up all the loose financial
ends, where I can move on with my life.
