Hi
Can someone please advise where the template & error files should be
placed for a Virtual Domain ?
Also where can I find a list of the error files that are needed /
allowed likewise with the error files.
Regards
Dave

In the HTTP\TEMPLATE and HTTP\ERROR where you defined the web path for
the VDG.

OK I have a file withing the \errors\custom directory called notfound.htmlwhich should, I believe return for a page not found.
When I enter: http://www.military.world/errors/custom/notfound.html the pagedisplays correctly.
The local directory location for this is d:\web\MilitaryWorld\errors\custom\notfound.html
The Virtual Domain points to its public director as d:\web\Military World\non-existent page I get the standard wildcat Error 404 page rather than my custom page.
However if I enter http://www.military.world/nonexistantpage.html which is a
I accept that I maybe doing something wrong but I am confused as to what ?

Hi David,
This is a very good support question. I will answer in the mailing
list since it will benefit others.
Ok, as of 7.0.454.4, these are stock files in the http\errors\ subfolder

You made a copy of your default wcat HTTP\template and HTTP\Errors
into your VDG
d:\web\Military World\errors\
The AUP Virtual Domains help explains what needs to be copied to a new
VDG
http://www.winserver.com/public/aup/Wildcat-Create-Virtual-Domain.htm
So now you want to customize the http\errors\notfound.wct, so you created
d:\web\Military World\errors\custom\notfound.html
and it doesn't work for you, you don't see your custom web page.
The solution:
The custom replacement is not NotFound.html but NotFound.wct, so
rename it notfound.wct and you will see it work. The trick is match
the file name of the stock template you are customizing. So in this
case, you want to replace notfound.wct, not notfound.html.
Hope this helps
