FWIW: your posts are showing 0:0/0 in the message headers here in this timED reader and the origin line is wrapped putting your address on the next line... i don't think that shortening the origin text will help with the header
address but it might... when i start a netmail reply to one of your posts, the address is 0:0/0 and it requires a nodelist lookup to find your proper fidonet address... looks like a bug somewhere, just not sure where :/

Glenn, your message made it though to the echo on this end only because the
y2k corrector (PktDate.exe) at this end undid the botched date field. Perhaps your Spitfire editor isn't Y2K compliant? The date line looked something like "652303 Jan 08". Might want to check that.

BTW, same thing with a message you sent to the Cats_Meow echo.

    Best regards,
    Marc

It's the corrupted non-Y2K compliant date field. Maybe the Spitfire editor. See my message to Glenn about this. And yes the address shows up as 0:0/0

FWIW: His address showed just fine here in the header as well as in the origin line. Also, his origin line wasn't wrapped until it was quoted, but I'm sure
it went past 80 characters. I just don't have my editor limited to wrapping at a certain amount of lines.

I noticed Marc replied also using TimEd and said he was seeing the same thing you were in regards to his address in the header. I'm not seeing that with GoldEd though.

The date was "01 Jan 80" as well, so I'm guessing it's not Y2K compliant.

confirmed... i haven't seen any bad dates in a while with my pktdate tool so i had to check my log file... my notes in my tossmail script show that i stopped correcting the dates in the pkts 07 Jul 2014 otherwise i'd not have seen it unless i did actually look at the logs and the saved *.y2k pkts...

    ! 16 Nov 13:02:44 PKTD Message #003 FTSC date: "064395 Jan 18 0655" needs fix (reason 2).
    ! 16 Nov 13:02:44 PKTD Message #004 FTSC date: "064395 Jan 18 0655" needs fix (reason 2).

definitely a y2k error in the software being used over there... hopefully it will be an easy fix ;)

The date was "01 Jan 80" as well, so I'm guessing it's not Y2K compliant.

The date in Glenn's first post that I just saw was Dec 31 1969. I guess Synchronet and GoldED and TimED have different starting points for "the first date" or something. Waldo tells me that his TimED showed Feb 1 1980 which is similar to the date your GoldED showed you ;)

It's the corrupted non-Y2K compliant date field. Maybe the Spitf editor. See my message to Glenn about this. And yes the address
shows ML> up as 0:0/0 here as well.

The problem is in Amail. Earnest gave me the lastest copy he had but it
didn't correct the problem. It reports the wrong version of Spitfire and
it has the problem above as well. I know Earnest has the source code but
he hasn't updated the program. Hence, the reason my Spitfire is offline
right now and I'm using Wildcat.
