I finally have the latest version of Slackware 14.4 installed. It
quicjkly returned to me all of the work involved in getting Slack
running, but it is much easier these days.
And based on expereince, should I roll a custom Slack kernel for ESXi compared to running huge.s??
Hello Phil,I wouldnt really call it a "work effort" in the fact that one must know what they are doing during the install process. I have to admit, this is the first ever that I actually selected the "Install Everything" option. It has a "Microsoft Windows" feel to it - you dont really know what you will end up with. In this case, it work!!

I had more issues getting Ubuntu running than I ever did Slackware,
TBH.
I've used ESXi but only for Windows Server installs. The only thing I have had trouble running in ESXi is OS2 Warp. It runs fine in VirtualBox & Mac OSX Fusion. Move it to ESXi & forget it!!
Later,L8tr!!
