I am trying to setup doors now but I keep getting User Dropped Carrier ins the door.and it falls back to the BBS. It is reading the drop file from th right temp dir (tested that too from 3 simultanious telnet sessions).

    You running a DOOR32 door or a DOOR.SYS door?

If it's DOOR32.SYS you need to use NetFoss's NFU to get it running to convert it to 16bit software. It doesn't run native to RG. Door.sys (cmd key DG) should've give you any issues unless its a specfic door causing those issues?

DOOR.SYS doors so far. It was all of them I tried to setup.

Haven't setup any DOOR32.SYS yet, I do have them. I am setting up alphabetically so I will get to one eventually. I know NFU has to be used but still unclear on which function to use. Use NFU to just convert the DOOR.SYS file, then run the door or Use NFU to convert & run the door. Trial and error I suppose.

What I did do for my problem is reinstall the door to a different dir and started from scratch. I could see the fossil netfos64 was active. Went through the setup line by line in the cfg files and got one to work. There must have been a stray char in one of the files (CFG, BAT, INI, etc).

Fat fingers and spelling are quite possibly the culprit.

Thanks for the repsonse. I was reminded of how much I enjoy Renegade but have forgotten so much in the 20+ year gap of using it. Still feel like a noob for not catching the erros before I posted!

You're using Netfos64? I'm surprised Renegade even loads with that. That's probaly the issue with the door, you more than likely need to use NETFOSS.exe (32bit one)
