    Title: Classic Chocolate Cake

    Yield: 15 servings

    2/3 c Butter; softened
    1 2/3 c Sugar
    3 lg Eggs; room temp
    2 c A-P flour
    2/3 c Baking cocoa
    1 1/4 ts Baking soda
    1 ts Salt
    1 1/3 c Milk
    Confectioners' sugar or
    - favourite frosting

    In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and
    fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well
    after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda
    and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk,
    beating until smooth after each addition. Pour batter
    into a greased and floured 13" X 9" baking pan.

    Bake @ 350ºF/175ºC until a toothpick inserted in center
    comes out clean, 35-40 minutes. Cool completely on a
    wire rack. When cake is cool, dust with confectioners'
    sugar or top with your favorite frosting.
