• In God We Trust Posters

    Hello Everybody,

Only in Texas. Not yet everywhere in the USA.
In God We Trust posters. Required in public schools.
Senate Bill 797. I'll leave it to Jeff T. and others
    to verify and confirm it.

This law is very specific. It has to contain the motto,
the US flag and the Texas flag. No other words or pictures.
However, the law does not say what language the motto has
to be in. I am thinking arabic, and donated to the reddest
part of Texas. Under the law, they have to display them.

    Allah Akbar!

Texas school districts have begun receiving donated posters and framed
copies of the national motto, "In God We Trust," that they will now be
required to display in accordance with a new state law.

The law says a public elementary or secondary school or an institution
of higher education "must" display a durable poster or framed copy of
the motto in a "conspicuous place" in each building if the poster or
framed copy is "donated for display at the school or institution" or
"purchased from private donations and made available to the school or institution."

    [snip]

Some in the community object, including the Southlake Anti-Racism
    Coalition (SARC).

"SARC is disturbed by the precedent displaying these posters in every
school will set and the chilling effect this blatant intrusion of
religion in what should be a secular public institution will have on
the student body, especially those who do not practice the dominant
Christian faith," the community group said in a statement following
    the donation.

The Republican Christian God has spoken!
So donate those posters, and make sure they
are put on display in every classroom in
    the great state of Texas!

    In God We Trust.
    With Zeus on it.
    Or Odin.
    Or Allah.
    Or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Or do a whole series, "In Gods We Trust". Greek Mythology,
Norse Mythology, Bible, Allah, Indian and African deities,
the Marvel Universe, Cthulhu Mythos ...

    For Life,

    Confirmed.

The situation is complicated by the fact that "In God We Trust" is our
national motto. It replaced "E Pluribus Unum," the de facto national motto since the nation's founding, in 1956 during the Red Scare in the US. It is
also a clear violation of the 1st Amendment, although challenges to it have been tossed aside by claiming it to be "tradition."

    Jeff.

I love Texas. Almost as much as Louisiana. Our state legislature
has come up with some real whoppers, so such antics can be amusing.
If only such acts of stupidity did not have real consequences.

So why not make a great NFT collection, as part of that state law?
Do realize one can make a real mint, as the state is obligated to buy
    all donations ...
