    Greetings All!

    After many months of searching, I've finally found a copy of APoint:

    ========================================
    APoint v1.25, English version
    Freeware point program for Win 9x/ME/NT/
    2000/XP. Complete package containing
    EMSI mailer, tosser, mail reader, online
    help, nodelist/nodediff support, TAPI
    and CAPI 2.0 support, easy installation
    and areafix handling.
    Package includes news reader and eMail
    client.
    ========================================

    After doing a *very* quick install, it appears to run on Win10(64-Bit) without any problems so far.

    However, it *needs* the binkD plugin to add TCP/IP functionality and
    I've found that too. It came with a very old version of binkD(0.9.4),
    so I've replaced it with v1.1a-99. I've also tweaked the provided
    binkD config file and the provided batch file which bolts it all
    together and repacked the archive.

    Head on over to https://stargate.org.uk/apoint to grab your copies.

    Regards,
    Martin

    I remember using a feature over the internet (via email) that would scour through known archives for a file query and report back in email.

    I did a quick test in my Win7 64-bit. The setup just need to Run as Admin. Appears to run ok too. It looks a bit different from the APoint I thought
    I used in the past.

    Thanks for doing that. I will have to give this baby a test run shortly. Meanwhile, is there any reason why you left the following commented out:

    # TCP settings. Leave these unchanged if not sure.
    #
    #iport binkp
    #oport binkp
    #oblksize 4096
    #timeout 60
    #connect-timeout 300

    Don't they need to be uncommented to operate?

    I shouldn't have second-guessed you. You are generally very thorough with instructions. I should have expected that you made no errors in the customized
    support files. Thanks.
