• oxp: nodelist problem

    Hello Martin!

I had a database corruption. DEL *.IX1 fixed it.

    But the nodelist config broke.

I manually put in the latest main nodelist, but I can't seem to get the
    Z2PNT file to cooperate.

This is what the config looks like:

    ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿

    ³ NODELIST.### 003 NODEDIFF.### NODEDIFF.Z## Diff Nodelist ³

    ³ ³ Press any key ... ³ ³
    ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ ³

The top line for Z2PNT_D.### looks incomplete. Shouldn't there be some
    text in there?

Meanwhile nodelist searches including the pointlist fail.

    NEVERMIND.

I forgot that I had to enter:

    Z2PNT_D.###
    Z2PNT_D.Z##

That turned out to be critical. Without those, OXP was locking up on a
    poll!

Yes it is and yes there should and it's also incorrect.

    See above.

Which of your database files got corrupted?

How do you know which one it was?

    What were the symptoms?

Was there some sort of associated error message?

    DEL *.IX1 fixed it.

IMO, that would be a recipe for disaster!

    But the nodelist config broke.

    Here we go *again* :(

    Hello Martin,

    I had a database corruption.

In my current install, I see eleven database files(.db1) along with MF>eleven corresponding index files(.ix1).

Which of your database files got corrupted?

I believe that it was in what you call the "online help", that deleting
the .IX1 files would help matters. In this, case it did not. Oxp rebuilt the IX1 files the next time the program was launched.

How do you know which one it was?

I dunno. At that point I was just frustrated that the PKTs didn't get
    tossed and oxp locked up.

    What were the symptoms?

    Oxp locked up.

Was there some sort of associated error message?

According to the DEBUG log file, there was none!

    DEL *.IX1 fixed it.

IMO, that would be a recipe for disaster!

I swear, I read somewhere that deleting the .IX1 files is OK.

    But the nodelist config broke.

    Here we go *again* :(

Accually, I think I found a serious security flaw in Oxp. It is related
to the next message you wrote to me. I'll make my comments in there.
