From Charles Stephenson@1:226/17 to All on Sat Apr 6 23:04:39 2019
    All,

Curious, is this echo active? There has been alot of activity on Facebook about PC Board. Is anyone here that's working on it now in here? I have a few questions...

I can confirm the area is active. There is one BBS in net 153 running PCBoard and probably any number of others too.

    OK, thanks. :)

The 'New' group has a site setup on github, with the source. I'd LOVE to be able to compile it in linux! I wish I was a programmer. I am gonna see if I can play around with it though

    v.14 up to v15.4 Beta. Since v15.2 under OS/2.

    Hi Charles,

Yes PCBoard v16 is being worked on by Ozz Nixon. It is being written in
Modern Pascal which is 16/32/64bit compatible. This is an open source
project. I will be hosting the first alpha/beta test board. Much will be changed, much will be added. At the moment, the project needs a
document writer to assemble the beginings of a manual. No easy task!
Anyone versed in PCB with good language skill please reply. I will post
the progress of this project in this echo once an alpha version is up
and running. A timeline is yet TBD.

    Cheers!

I'm a member of that Facebook group, I've been following the progress. Looks like it's coming along nice! I tried to run PCB/2 but my system didn't have enough juice to do what I wanted it to do. Wondering, will there be a Linux version in the future?

If you noticed the intro screen on the pre-alpha:
    ÔòæÔòæÔòæ ANSI...

    + Linux 2.6.32-042stab120.16
    #1 SMP Mon Aug 27 21:07:08 MSK 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    ** Notice Linux, 64bit.

As Night Rider shared, Modern Pascal is 32bit/64bit compatible for
Linux, Mac OSX, Windows (builds for Windows are on hold right now),
    RaspPi.

Sorry for the delay on replying - been in the process of moving from
Virginia to Florida - still have hundreds of boxes to unpack...
however, I am back-online (communications wise).

    Right now:
PCBoard v16 Pre-Alpha Experience (PAE) is running in Arizona on a Linux
    server inside GoDaddy.
As soon as I can automate my dynamic IP with my DNS service - I will
spin up another PAE site here in my office on Mac OSX.... and at home
    on a RapsPi Rev2.

Next will be to build a git script to synchronize all these systems
    nightly. ;-)

Understandable. I've been having a very rough week. I buried my father this past Tuesday. Mood and motivation has been up and down...
