• UUCP Over TCP

From Robert Wolfe@1:261/20 to All on Wed Aug 17 11:09:56 2016
    Hello All!

I currently run my bBS (the one I am posting this message from)
on a WIndows Server 2003 R3 machine and using the Win32 version
of FXUUCICO to do usenet and email runs via UUCP over TCP. I was
wondering if there was an OS/2 port of this that will do the same
thing and use my existing configuration files?

    - Thanks!
    - Robert

an os/2 port of fxuucico? i'm not sure... maybe a native version but i'm not sure on that, either... i used to run waffle bbs as a door under my RA and i had fxuucico on the back side pulling email and news but i don't recall if that
was on the DOS side of my os/2 or not... when i went to GIGO, i used whatever it had and then later was able to use the GIGOTCP addon package... i was previously doing everything over POTS and was then able to get a better connection to the 'net... unfortunately i don't have that stuff any more as i've had to update the hard drives a time or two and that resulted in only the important stuff being moved over before the old drives died...

a CTRL-F search for fxuucico in my browser gives only two results... the DOS version and the documentation... apparently there's only the DOS version and i know that it works fine on the DOS side of os/2...

Ok, I will have to see if I can find the OS/2 version of GIGO with the
GIGOTCP addon. Will keep you posted if I find anything.

Thank you for the starting point, though. It should help.

they're two separate packages... i'm still using the originals release by jason... i'm pretty sure they're on my BBS somewhere but don't have time to look right now... headed out for another $work$ day in this nasty heat... trying to get an early start but can't raise my helper and we're two hours behind getting out there... wanted to be done by noon :( :( :(

Yeah, I downloaded the ones released by Jason as well as the
source code yesterday. Will take a peek at them this weekend
    hopefully.
