Hey all,
I asked Spiro about this already but can you let me know if you are
happy to have your bbs listed in a New Zealand directory of BBS's contactable via Telnet or dialup.
I plan to add a dialling directory to bbs.geek.nz soon, folks will be
able to use the website to login to BBS's that are listed there, with
the click of a mouse.
Who in NZ has a dialup BBS with telnet, I have a part time wildcat BBS going sometimes on dialup on a 486 DX4 100 computer i wood like to see more dialup BBS systems with a internet like prison board bbs but then
no one will dialin.

Yes that is fine with me, but I only Telnet No dialup.
yes old dialup is a thing of the past the kids these days want know what
a land line is.
I must admit, I have no love for phones of any kind. My love for the
BBSs was in the software and the message boards, and the lo-tech interface. :)
I just brought myself a new 17 inch lcd monitor for my vintage computers from trademe. all the old crt stuff all gets givin away and im thinking about getting rid of my amiga 1200 ill swap it for good atari st or ste with two disk drives or a 486 computer with internet tcp/ip in windows 3.11 and dos.

I'm not aware of any BBS in NZ that offer both Telnet and Dialup.
There's a dial up in Christchurch that's down at the moment but that's the only one I know of.

I'd be prepared to buy the amiga 1200 off you. I don't have an ST(E) or a 48 I do have a Celeron which I have built a memory stick that boots FreeDOS and has a TCP/IP stack. I went with the memory stick because I couldn't find a working IDE hard drive. :)
If you're after a 486 specifically, I can't help, but if you want one of the celerons to run win 3.1/dos on, then that I can provide.

pcmcia card 2 megs of ram under neath and 2 megs on a pcmcia card and
tone of spear disk drives and disks.
Heh.. this keeps up well need to bing back NZ_BUYSELL :-)
Although, I wouldn't be offended by people selling vintage gear and posting TM links here in NZ_FIDONET. Would that be against the rules? As long as it doesn't get out of hand and people start posting unrelated items.
