    I've been trying to connect to it a few times a week since the above, using Telnet via SyncTerm & keep getting, as just now (04h20 NZST), a cannot connect error (0). . .

    That BBS uses an alternate port, 2324.

    Thanks for calling young fella, hope you enjoyed your trip down memory lane
    and a virtual trip to New Zealand. I've been to Vancouver a few times (flow
    in and driven there from Seattle), feels very familiar in many respects to
    NZ :-)

    This is why, when i was looking at starting fresh, I put NZ at the top of my list -- no culture shock (same language, same name of currency, same kind of government..) but NZ Immi wasn't so enamoured of me -- my points were short to qualify.

    Oh well, I've since realized I have more influence on events than I had thought, & am toughing it out here in the nation of my birth; influencing what I can, & laughing at the rest. .
