  • Any dialup CHCH boards?

    Hi, All,

    Does any one still operate a free BBS in Christchurch that has a dial-in option for local old farts who like the already learned ways? Preferably with Fidomet access

    Not for me; I'm in Canada, but I've got a 25+ year mate who lives there whom I've been exchanging Fidonet messages or emails all along. . . Although, I could login if you have a telnet option.

    He was sad at the loss of the last local dialup & is doing ther things onthe internet now, but if he has a hankering for some nostalia, is there a suitable board in Christchurch that survived the great Christchurch earthquake a few years back?

    There are a few board in New Zealand.

    One I know off the top of my head is Agency BBS in Dundin. Telnet only as far as I know.

    Dial up - no, I have The Trashcan online via Telnet however - http://bbs.thenet.gen.nz

    Hmm I did get some dial-up access going but it's essentially a gateway to a telnet connection to the BBS over IP but via dial-up - make sense? :)

    I'll try and find the number.
