    Where was this BBS based?

Tek may have further info he's got tons of old txt files and I reckon will become the gatekeeper of that sort of knowledge :-)

Yes I can't see those days returning. Levin eh? Hmmm... Do you have a fidonet address for the BBS listed in any of those docs?

David, if those are electronic files, I would love copies of them. If they
are physical newsletters, I'm happy to pay postage for you to send them to me, then I can scan them and send you the physical copies back.

I'm definitely interested in text files from NZ sources. A few years back, I wrote up a web based system to display documents, which is here:

    http://oldschool.geek.nz/doxx

and have since moved most of those over to my BBS, either as downloads or via Gryphon's text reader, which is accessible from my 'BBS Info' option on the Shadow Dominion's main menu. There's a Historical Documents link in there.

The BBS page of the website I linked has a bunch of NZ BBS lists, plus the
BBS magazine I wrote in the mid 90s. :)

as well as newsletters and magazines (electronic or physical) I would like to fill the holes in my NZ BBS lists.

    :)

I can't find a mention of a Dungeon BBS in any of the nationwide BBS lists
from 91-93, but I'm missing a lot of them.

I mentioned it in my last post, but bears repeating...

    http://oldschool.geek.nz/doxx/index.php?d=bbs

has some NZ lists, plus ones from specific areas like Wellington, Manawatu/Horewhenua, and Levin/Palmerston Nth.

And under there, there's a fido directory which has a pretty thorough list of Fido nodelists going back to 9th November 1984, when Fidonet only had 13
    nodes. :)

Unfortunately, that .1 means that it was an unlisted node hanging off
    3:771/530

However, 3:771/530 was added to Fidonet on Apr 30, 1993. That BBS was called Satellite BBS, and was run by Alex Milosevich in Palmerston North.

That doesn't mean that Dungeon BBS wasn't in local BBS lists, it just means that it didn't have a "real" Fidonet address. Or at least, it didn't when
that text file you're reading was created.

    Gotta start somewhere eh?

Soggy day down here, good to play BBS. Been trying to get another in game module working for LORD but ended up breaking my interBBS mod. Poop. Fixed it now after missing some O2 for a few secs.

Sounds fun, I'm slowing getting there with your copy of BRE. Much shorter
game than the league config demands. I'm enjoying it.

I ended up adding two in game modules today. Hopefully they will behave.

    Excellent.

I really should get my toys out once Special Lady Friend has moved down from Auckland, and get back to my Youtube channel.

My channel at the moment is all comic books, but I have reserved another channel name that I want to upload lots of other geeky things, and part of
that may just include some retro computing vids as inspired by you David.

Good fun when I can just hook up a vintage computer and dial out
to a BBS with it. if you have old and forgoten computers try to
dial out to a BBS with them all you need is a server software
and a null modem cable thats the easy way and video your computers
when thay are doing something to show on youtube.
