You're probably looking for FIDOPOLL.EXE :) To send all outgoing mail type "FIDOPOLL.EXE SEND" or to poll everyone type "FIDOPOLL.EXE FORCED" and to see all options (help) just type "FIDOPOLL.EXE"

Of course you must be in the Mystic home folder (usually /mystic)

OK, I will ask my question another way.
There are no new technology in our progressive time, to connect BBS not by dial-up, but thorough internet protocol?
I have not used BBS for long time, sorry for dumb question.

it depends on the BBS and how the operator has set it up... some only offer telnet access... others offer telnet and ssh and maybe even rlogin... some offer web and ftp access as well... it all depends on the system...

I have not used BBS for long time, sorry for dumb question.

it is not a dumb question, really ;)

Actually, most BBSs are Internet only these days. The reference to "fidopoll" is in fact part of Mystic's mailer, which only sends FTN mail over the internet, using a special protocol called BinkP, which was designed for Fidonet over Internet mailer transfers.

No that one runs Synchronet (with binkd as the mailer), but bridge.vkradio.com is. :)

Connect using SSH on port 222, it should tell you how to register as a new user.

All correct. It's your SSH terminal. You will need to enable older protocol support or use a BBS terminal emulator like SyncTerm.

i cannot... i have not kept up with mystic's capabilities since x.11A39 or so...

But I'm affraid will need port, login and pasword also.

FWIW: the systems that i know of that allow ssh seem to require that an account is created first so normal ssh logins work properly... that initial account creation may be via telnet, http or possibly https for the few modern BBS systems used today... again, it depends on the system and what the operator specifically enables and/or disables...

as i noted previously, you have to have a preset account before you can use ssh
or similar... ssh requires an existing account to match you to for the user name and password...

Wrong port, that's the system SSH, use port 222 for the BBS. And you may need to enable SSHv1 support.
