• Error w/ fidopoll force

From Sysop@1:342/13 to All on Tue Dec 12 14:37:00 2017
Hello everyone. I'm a part of multiple networks and I had it all working
with no issues. Then I started doing some updates and changes to the board
and now when I issue a fidopoll force it tells me Address returned multiple entries in nodelist. It doesn't tell me which address or nodelist so I'm not sure where to start looking. Is it my address or the nodes I'm trying to
    poll?

Also if anyone knows where I can find the source for Mystic that would really help. If I can find that error message in the source I can usually figure
out what is causing it. Kinda one of the reasons I like Linux!

    Thanks
    Stephen

Its not an error in Mystic.

Its "fidopoll forced". If you type "fidopoll force" it means you are trying
to search the nodelist for the text search "force" and poll the BBS that
comes back as a result. In this case, there must be more than one BBS that comes back from that text search, so Mystic doesn't make the connection.

    Try typing:

    fidopoll forced

Just had to point out that I'm a idiot :)

Thanks for that. Seems to work just fine now. I think I've been playing
with this a bit to much over the last couple of days trying to get all my networks up and running.

Thanks again. Sometimes I'm just blind.

the first thing you might want to do is fix your handle so you are not posting as "sysop" which covers several hundred folks in fidonet alone ;)

the next thing is that A36 (at least) is available and you might want to update
    to it, too...

    [EDIT]

opps! sorry for the handle comment above but really, though, there are several hundred sysops so the handle really should be changed ;)

Be happy the author is still trucking along supporting and developing the software even today! =)

Would check out fsx network, it has a much more active group of support for mystic and g00r00 also is very active there as well.

You can check out how to setup fsx here: https://www.youtube.come/watch?v=o_jn-xhqaKs

Thanks. I applied for a fsx node a couple of days ago. Just waiting on the
RC to add me to his system. Hopefully today or tomorrow.

It happens to all of us. I'm just glad I noticed it before we both were scratching our heads! :)
