• Mystic for Pi can't send echomail

From Flavio Bessa@4:801/188 to All on Sun May 2 13:32:46 2021
    Hello,

I have recently donwloaded Mystic to my Raspberry Pi to play around with it a little bit.

I have configured it as a point to my system, was able to export echomail from my system to the point, but when I try to post something, I can see from the logs that the mail is exported fine, but when I run the ./mis poll 4:801/188, it never sends the echomail packet that's on /mystic/echomail/out/primary directory.

Is this a known bug? How can I fix it?

I don't think so. Mystic's mailer sends mail from my point to it's boss without issues.

I wonder if mis poll send would shed some light on the issue?

Is the echomail set to Normal or Crash for the node?
Do you have a packet to send or just a .clo file in the folder? If yes to the latter then check you have ZIP installed or set your echomail node to raw uncompressed packets (i.e. remove ZIP from echomail node setup for 4:801/188)

Hope that helps, let me know how you get on :)

    Best, Paul

I do have a packet (fcde0000.su1), and a .hlo file (032100bc.hlo) at the /mystic/echomail/out/primary directory.

I am using zip and both zip and unzip are present and working… I have tried setting for either Hold, Normal or Crash.

I checked poll.log - I can see all the packets the boss sent me, but it
    never sends anything.

It worked! I had the Export Type changed to Direct, posted a test message,
    and now it works fine!

Yeah, I wonder why. A hostname or port issue?

Yep cool. Yeah the .hlo file meant you had the packet set to HOLD so no
amount of polling would have sent it. That packet was waiting to be collected by an incoming poll to your system. The fix (as you found out) is to set
Export type to something else. I tend to use CRASH or Normal. Prob best to stick with either of those.

At the end of the day, it was at the Export Type parameter. I had it set to Normal instead of Hold and it started collecting mail ;)
