From Rick Smith@1:340/202 to All on Mon Apr 27 10:07:43 2020
    Greetings,

I have been trying for the life of me to figure out how to copy/paste in messages. Can I say copy something from a text file on my machine and then paste it here in a message, without uploading a text file? Or can I copy a
some text from a another message and then paste it here in this message? whenever I use the ctrl c-v functions all it does in toggle the insert mode
    in upper right of screen.

    Thank you for your help

you can... how it is done depends on the terminal program you are using... some use the right mouse button to paste with... some use the middle mouse button... some have some special keystroke... on my kubuntu system using the command line telnet or ssh clients, i have to use CTRL-SHIFT-C and CTRL-SHIFT-V to copy and paste in the text terminals i use... GUI stuff uses a different means for the same...

with that said, what terminal program are you using? what does it use to paste with?

Notepad works wonders for this :)

Well, if you use something like Gnome for a desktop environment under Linux, ¨you can use GEdit (like you use Notepad in Windows).
