And not just TOS, all 5 ST series' have really great books out there written in their respective time lines. Even a couple of series about OTHER ships and crews that can be used (Capt Calhoun comes to mind).
Couldn't agree more with you. Capt Calhoun deserves a spot into the Trek canon.
