Does the iphone offer an obvious DL option when a person points their browser to a file link?

I have a naive/new user to whom I want to send several YT vids that I downloaded for them, but they need to be able re-watch them offline.

The link would in the form:

So, if I go to http://kolico.ca/mpg/tabasco.mpg on my iPhone I get the following:

It just means that iPhone doesn't recognize the video format. You can hit the middle icon at the bottom to bring up the share options and you'll find "Save to Files":

But when I did that, I still couldn't play the video as the iPhone still didn't recognize it. If you uploaded it in .mp4 format the phone should be able to play it right from the site without downloading.

I actually *do* think the files that I need to share with the
iPhone user are in .mp4 format.

If you can get a chance to view tobasco.mpg give it a shot.
It's an old commercial that I thought was pretty funny. My
original date stamp for that one is May 2005!

Yup, I thought I might just see a directly listing, but nope, was greeting by a page with some examples. Nicely done.

There are a total of 3 vids. They range in viewing time
between 10 minutes and 35 minutes. It would be great to just DL
them and move on.

Right! Forgot about that part, yes the same procedure still works with this one, just hit the share button (middle icon at the bottom):

Open the "Files" app and you should see them in the Downloads folder:

Tapping on the file lets you play as normal.

When you click the link it starts playing right away in "full screen" (at least it did on my phone) - When you hit pause you get the screen with the share option.

The arrow for the "download" button/option is misleading. My first impression is that it's for "upload".
