True in some places by power hungry bosses.

    I always consider customers right,

In parking my philosophy is "the customer (violator) is always wrong".
    :)
I get complaints from violators for being cited when its clearly their
fault: didn't put money in a meter, parked where they didn't belong, etc.
If I am at fault, for whatever reason (meter not working, their permit
not visible but have it, etc) I take the ticket back. Otherwise go talk to
    the people in the office.
Sometimes photo's are taken for questionable violations:
"It wasn't marked handicap". According to this photo the sign is right there in the photo.
"I had my HC hang tag up". Not according to this photo.
"It wasn't marked no parking". The sign is right there in the photo.

I'm humble enough to know I can be wrong, so I'll never call someone a liar & cheat

I am also humble enough to know when I make a mistake and correct it.
I also know that people lie to try to get out of the fine.
One of the things I say in the office when someone has been complaining
about a ticket: Another of my many unhappy dissatisfied customers? :)

    Joe,

Videos, pictures, and recordings, don't lie...unless they've been altered.

I could say something, but discretion is the better part of valor. <G>

Or like the deal with "The Three Stooges". Conditions are great for hunting here, as there's a sign that says "Fine For Hunting". <G>

    That's about it. :P

    One word...BUSTED!! <G>

My favourite busted photo was taken years ago.
The old ticket writers had no camera so I would use my phone, take a few shots and send them to the office.
One day a woman stormed in complaining she was NOT in a handicap space,
she would not do anything like that and demanded the ticket be voided.
Rule number in the parking office: Do do storm into the office demanding anything.
The photos were pulled up and there was her car, in a clearly marked HC
space (signs, blue lines, little man on the toilet (what we call the
wheelchair icon) along with her car. Plus, and here's the kicker, I had also gotten
her in the shot getting somethi

I am also humble enough to know when I make a mistake and correct it.

    Careful there buster! :)
As I like to say, I am the last person to admit I was wrong. :)

Or like the deal with "The Three Stooges". Conditions are great for hunting here, as there's a sign that says "Fine For Hunting". <G>

As Steve Allen said on his 1960s show where a remote camera was showing a street scene with a loading zone sign in front of a bar "A loading zone,
lets go in and get loaded".

Sounds like Nancy Pelosi saying "she was set up" at that hair salon.

I found a sign on a local Facebook page that I swiped and took to the

That should be: she had also gotten her in the shot getting something out
of her back seat and wearing the same clothes, since the picture had been
    taken only shortly before.

At least she wasn't like the meme of the nude woman who went into the alterations department of the store (you only saw her from the back side), wanting her birthday suit altered (it was all wrinkled).

Because you've been doing your job long enough you know if/when you've msade a mistake & likely correct it l.ong before the ticket is given?

Smart man. I like having a camera in my pocket at all times, with instant review if the photos I take.

I wazsn't sure of the game a local grocery store was playing on getting out of selling at flyer pricing (as is the law); I negotiated with a lower level manager to split the difference on a $20 box of halloween candy, by giving me another brand(more expensive) for the flyer price. I explained to him I'd taken a photo of the display & emailed it to my compter at home to compare to the flyer I had there (they no longer provided fltyers in store. . hmmm. . .)

I now, when there's likely to be a dispute at the till (shelf price higher t han flyer price, I photo the shelf & look up the flyer online, & ensure I get my free item (if the scanner scans even 1c higher than ANY other price ANYWHERE in their advertuising (including in store hand-written signs) I get first item free (up to $10)

I once got over 30 cherery pies at Safeway before they fixed the code in the computer to stop ringing up as solid-top fruit pie ($1 more than lattice-top)

I'd pop in every couple days intending to buy a cherry pie, & BOOM, it rang up too high again. . . I began giving every second one to a fellow sweet tooth in the building! Never hsd that much of a deal since, but they got lots of promotion out of those $150 worth of pies!

Everybody wins! My favourite way to play life!
