When I was at the Naval Recruit Training Center in Illinois

One of the places I plan to glance at on my way to Waukeegan.
Been many years since I last saw the place.

An Instructor told Us about the Military was now putting some money
from the Monthly Pay into Our Social Security account.

When I first joined the Navy we were paid in cash.
A table set up, armed Marine near by.
Later they changed it to paying us by cheque.
So one stood in line to get the cheque, then move to another long line
    to cash it.
Made absolutely no sense. But easier bookkeeping I guess.

I didn't have a problem with remembering My Service Number and S.S.
    Number .

Mine is long forgotten. All I remember was the letter B then a series
    of numbers.
I have my old dog tags in a box somewhere.

And if I ever forget the Alphabet backwards I'm in REAL TROUBLE.

I have trouble with the alphabet forward. :)

    Joe,

I have trouble with the alphabet forward. :)

If they want me to recite it using the International
Telecommunications Union (ITU) alphabet, that's a cinch. I haven't tried
it bass ackwards that I know of.

There is a video on YouTube, where the individual combines sign
language (AMESLAN) with the CW equivalent for each letter (A-Z),
"prepare for transmission", and the prosign AR (end of message). You
can't use it on the air, as it has music...but hearing it, makes you
want to "get down and boogie". <G>

    It's at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oidt3CYn9cA

You can search for "Morse Code Sign Language" on YouTube, and look for "Polyglot Stuart Jay Raj Mnidcraft Morse Code Sign Language Alphabet
Song" -- and you're advised to "play 3 times minimum". :)

You may have mentioned that video a while back, at least to me it seems
    that a way.
I will add watching it to my ROUNDTUIT List, No, I will watch it today.

I suppose that Search is for the You Tube video URL written a few lines
    above here.
I will increase the size of the ROUNDTUIT List by adding those two phrases.

As I watch a Video, if I like what I see I will click on Video Download Helper to Save it for later watching.

I can't remember Who (or in Which echo) I learned about that Program from,
but I like having My own personal copy so I won't have to go back to the
web page to watch (or read) it again.

Same thing with My use of DoPDF, I See, I Grab, Then I forget where I put
    the ROUNDTUIT.

Occasionally I make a TEXT File of the contents of the C: Partition so I
can open it in Notepad and Hunt for a word in what I remember of the Name
    I gave the File.

Its a wonder the F3 Key still works on this keyboard as oft I use it.

I did look in the sub-directory I Save Videos in but didn't see any file
about sign language and the Morse code, but while looking at the list I
saw Rusty Goodman's A Small Lonely Hill video and now I added watching IT to that there ROUNDTUIT List...

In parking we used police alphabet: Adam, Boy, Charlie, David, etc.
When I was new I was calling in a plate that had an X in it. I had a
brain freeze with X and instead of X-Ray I said Xerox. :)
The woman in office started laughing but knew what I meant.

Well... as you might have noticed, I often end up being a bit behind and
having to catch up.... but I have different things in my ROUNDTUIT list
than you do... <G> Offline, though, is a real boon.... ;) The packets
with unreplied-to messages can stack up a little and they're still there
when I get a chance to get to them.... ;)

Stick around, though... as you noted, we all need to put out a little
effort to keep the echoes we care about from going quiet... ;)
