I appreciate the thought. With this Saturday being the 12th
anniversary of Janice's death, I'm not going to be in good shape. :'(

Prayers are sent your way... I know it's hard....

þ OLX 1.53 þ Please don't startle or scare me...I tend to poop easily.
    TMI!

Or like a church music director who got startled one time by an
elderly church member. He told her "You scared the crap out of me!!",
and she replied "You needed a good cleaning out!!" <G>.

When we get old enough, we can tell it as it is... ;)

Now, if you are on a diet of chili dogs, pinto beans, cabbage, baked beans, and other legumes, and don't use something like Beano, you're
going to be like "shooting off a cannon volley"!! Plus, the animals do
it (especially the dogs), and they don't care!! :P

Some things I tend to steer clear of mostly, just to avoid overmuch
results... But as a (female) cousin of mine says, "Better out than
    in..." :)

Thank you, ma'am. I slept much of yesterday. Except for a little BBS
and ham radio work, I did nothing else.

    That's right. :)

Janice told of this one woman who "kept it in" (apparently on both
counts), and it ended up poisoning and killing her. Janice surmised it
with "Better out, than let it be. For, that was the death of Mary Lee".

Probably just a bit dramatic... ;) But I did know a guy that was so embarrassed by bodily functions that he walked very stiffly and
awkwardly in order to keep it in... It wasn't quite the death of him,
but he certainly was much more uncomfortable than he needed to be...

I never made fun of a woman with the monthly cycle cramps. The
abdominal cramps I get with diverticulitis make it to where I can barely
    walk.

I knew a ham radio operator in Wisconsin, who was also a nurse. When
one ham said they were going in for a needed colonoscopy, she added "Be
sure to pass plenty of gas!! It's the only time it's permitted!!" <G>.

With Jeff Foxworthy's routine on his colonoscopy, when it came time
for that, he noted "What came out of me, was so loud, and so long...that
Fred Flintstone clocked out of work!!" <G>.

That's what I told the nurses that one time..."My colon brought me in
here!! I want to make sure it's working before I leave!!". Or, the
nurses say "You can't go home, until you go poop"!! :P

    Nancy,

There can be some really serious complications... better to discover
them before you go home, so you don't have to come back to emergency...

So true. They usually ask you about "The 3 P's" -- peeing, pooping,
and procreation. While the latter is not always necessary and available,
the first two are priority. Man, I'm using a lot of P words here -- but
    that is my P-rogative. <BG>

Years ago, folks would talk about their bowel and bladder habits, and
not say a word about sex. Now, it's the other way around! Plus, colon
cancer is the second greatest killer (for men and women) right behind
heart disease and breast cancer (men get breast cancer as well)...but
unlike so many other cancers, it's also one of the most preventable.

We've discussed it before, with the colonoscopies and the PITA prep
work (literally)...but I'd rather be told "we found nothing" or "we
found it early enough, that you have greater than a 90% chance of
survival". I sadly hear too many stories of folks who waited too long,
and get told "You'll be dead in 2 weeks". :(

That's like the joke where this plane on an international flight, has
the pilot (the captain) from "The Flight Deck" come on the intercom, to
chat with the passengers. He starts with a calm demeanor, then suddenly
screams "Oh My God!! No!!"...and the audio dies. Moments later, he apologetically comes on, telling the passengers "I am so sorry for that.
One of the flight attendants was bringing me a cup of coffee, and she
spilled it in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!!".

A passenger yelled back "You should see the back of mine!!" <G>.

I think next time, I'll take the train. :)
