    Hello All,

How are magic names for file requests like FILES, NODELIST etc configured in MBSE BBS?

... Do it! It's easier to get forgiveness than permission.

In /opt/mbse/var/magic, create a file containing the filename of the file to send from your filebase. For example, /opt/mbse/var/magic/FILES on my system contains:

    ALLFILES.ZIP

MBSE also creates these magic names automatically for arriving .TIC files containing the Magic keyword.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Very carefully.

(Don't laugh, that qualifies as an answer.)

I did it through mbsetup but it's been so long ago now I'm a little rusty. Like your mailbox.

    Later,

That seems to be the case. I have a couple nodelists being put where they
need to be and compiled now.

Yes, it is. I also need to update the magicname for NODELIST, FIDONEWS and things like that. I think I can do that with a carefully worded script.

    Like your mailbox.

Even after all these years and all those updates.. I still keep a can of
    WD40 on hand.. ;)

These days, not only do I keep WD-40 on hand but bubblegum and duct tape too.
