It's sad to read that but I have noted for some time that the regular
ARRL (ARL?-nnn) bulletins have been absent.

    Have a nice day,

    Holger,

It's sad to read that but I have noted for some time that the regular HG>ARRL (ARL?-nnn) bulletins have been absent.

I try to post them in some other ham radio related echoes. But, the
weather has been so stormy here for August (very unusual), that the BBS
has had to be down for lightning issues more often than not.

I get the bulletins via email, then copy and paste them to a textfile,
and run a batchfile to post them.

    OK, TNX for the reply.

Odd things happen: I thought I posted my message to Mark Lewis as a
reply to his message that the LS_ARRL echo will be removed and I get
    your reply to it.

Fidonet has, since aug. 19, been limping here. Each day I have reveived
only one echomail written by Benny Pedersen in the WINDOWS and LINUX echo areas, and today your post and one in the FN_SYSOP area.

    Hi Daryl,

    Hi, Holger...

reply to his message that the LS_ARRL echo will be removed and I get

I remember when that echo and net was started. Tamara "Ivy" Iverson,
KB9QPM, started "LakeShore Net" several years ago, but shut her BBS down
when Y2K hit. She hasn't been back in BBSing for a long time.

Fidonet has, since aug. 19, been limping here. Each day I have reveived HG>only one echomail written by Benny Pedersen in the WINDOWS and LINUX echo HG>areas, and today your post and one in the FN_SYSOP area.

While I have several auto posts that I do on various topics, my BBS ad
is only done once a week (some systems do multiple posts in a single
day), and I try to access the BBS daily. But, with being caregiver for
my elderly Mom, and having new health issues of my own (never mind it
has been a stormy August here with lots of thunderstorms), the BBS has
ended up "taking a back seat", as it were.

yes, i stopped posting them when RL got in the way and it was taking me some 30
minutes to clean and post several of them... after two months and no one said anything i figured folks were getting them off the net or via emails the same way they arrive here... since no one complained and there's no other traffic in
here, it is time to close all of the HAM areas that i have and put everything into one HAM area... the LA_ARRL reports may make a return via myself but if they do, they will be posted in HAM...

Conference rules for the LS_ARRL echo: rev. 25 Feb 13
Posting Frequency: 1st of the month.
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Welcome to the ls_arrl echomail conference, managed by Richard Webb,
    amateur radio call sign NF5B.

This echomail conference is for the dissemination of bulletins and
information of interest to radio amateurs. Primary sources are bulle-
tins produced by the American Radio Relay League, Newington, Ct. USA.

Bulletins of general ham radio interest are welcome.

    ----- CUT -----

    Richard Webb : moderator emeritus
    Mark Lewis : moderator

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The above part of the rules tells me that it is/was a more or less a
READ-ONLY conference. I have adhered to that and posted in the HAM and AMATEUR_RADIO echoes instead.

The cut part (above) does open the echo a bit for other discussions.

    Have a good night,
