• ssh port

From Rick Smith@1:105/10 to All on Sun Jan 1 10:56:38 2023
    Greetings All!

I am trying to change my ssh port on ubuntu server 22.04. I changed it in /etc/ssh/sshd.conf as I have done many times on other distros. I restarted ssh and the machine, it still will only connect on 22? Any thoughts or ideas?

    Try changing "Port" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config

Make sure it's not commented out.

Your sshd must be reading a different config file. You'll need to figure out where your sshd is getting it's config and change it there.

That's strange, my sshd config is and always has been /etc/ssh/sshd_config but your distribution must be doing things differently.
