    Hello All,

Does anyone still have a copy of fidoconfig2jamnntpd.pl? The jamnntpd docs mention it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

    Regards,
    Nick

Are you sure about the name?

    I have the following:

    http://eljaco.se/files/Billing/fidoconfig2crashmail.zip

    ...and

    http://eljaco.se/files/Billing/areasbbs2jamnntpd.zip

They both contain PL files, but not the one you ask for.

Yes. It is specifically named in ReadMe_hpt.txt located in the root directory of the current sources on github.

    I have the following:

    http://eljaco.se/files/Billing/fidoconfig2crashmail.zip

    ...and

The ones you list above are similar, but not what I'm looking for. The one I was looking for took information stored in the husky tools "fidoconfig" and created a working jamnntpd.groups file out of it.

Either way, I ended up doing it all manually as I didn't think I'd see the file any time soon. Thanks for taking a look for it, though!

Thanks, Tommi. I'll keep it around for future use as I already did it all manually. Also since I loaded up Golded and saw your netmail with the file attached, I didn't know how to snag it out of the message with Golded itself, so I'll have to load jamnntpd back up and check to make sure it works properly with my newsreader.

I also received it in my inbound, so thank you for both methods of transfer.

I don't have jamnntpd up full time as of right now, as I'm still tinkering with it. But so far the latest github code seems to work nicely with the latest version of Thunderbird on Win10, except for the fact jamnntpd itself will not translate any .chs files at level 4 and when I tried a quick hack to xlat.c to accept the level 4 parameter, it coredumped on me.

I'm reaching out to Matt to see if he's willing to share his secrets. :)

Please do. I'm using the perl script to convert husky to jamnntpd in this windows system. I run it manually time to time when there are new echos (auto)created in husky.

    In my OS/2 system I have a special home-made golded2jamnntpd converter. ;)

I checked the sources about level 4 but since I'm not a C programmer, I'll have to wait for Matt's release too. :).

Nice. Too bad it's only for OS/2, otherwise I probably could have used that as well, seeing as though Golded and JamNNTPd both access the same areas defined by fidoconfig. :)

Same here. I only noticed a place in xlat.c that mentioned only level 1 and 2 in an if statement, so I added a level 4 option to it which caused a coredump. I'm certain there was somewhere else I needed to address the same, but didn't want to break things further since I had no idea what I was doing. Reverted back to the original code and everything is running smoothly once again besides the fact that the log messages state that level 4 is not supported. :)

Speaking of which, there's another perl script I'm looking for that's mentioned in ReadMe_hpt.txt. Do you by chance have echomailjam2hpt.pl?

Looks like I'm going to have to utilize this in some sort of wrapper script that runs my newsreader, then runs this perl script along with "hpt scan -f" when I exit the newsreader. I keep forgetting to manually scan out my messages after using a newsreader, and JamNNTPd doesn't support echotoss.log/echoscan.log which is what I'm using with Golded. :/

Yes, I do. It is also in the same place I wrote before:

Should be also possible to freq echomailjam2hpt.zip from 2:221/360.
