    Hello Tony,

You can always get a tunnel,

    I don't know about "always".... ;-)

SixXs closed shop two years ago and while there are still alternatives, it may not be forever. He.net may decide they did more than their fair share and start asking money for the tunnel service or close it down alltogether. Hopefully that will happen when tunnels are no longer needed because by than "everyone" has IPv6, but I would not put any money on it..

    Cheers, Michiel

No reason you can't roll your own, if you really want a tunnel - you'd need a VPS and some associated IPv6 space. So given the availability of suitable expertise, I'd say "always" would still apply. It may just get harder, that's all.

If I had a VPN and IPv6 space, I probably would not want a tunnel. ;-)

I suppose it is possible, In theory I could also become my own ISP and have native IPv6. All I need is my own fiber to AMS-IX. Cost would probably be a show stopper...

Fortunately, I have no need for that any more. I have native IPv6 from my ISP. For about two years now. It took my ISP nearly a decade between "we will roll it out next year" and actually doing it, but here we are. :-)

    Cheers, Michiel

Well, if you had a server out there that did have IPv6, but not at home, that's the situation I'm talking about. :)

    Just a little. ;)

Neither do I, I've had native for over 8 years. ;)
