    Almost there.

For incoming traffic, there are some minor things
to solve in DNS. The MX address supports IPv4 and IPv6.

Outgoing traffic only on IBN, IFC still needs some work,
but I have no contacts with that protocol.

Aks Wilfred to check his logs, he never noticed.;)

As a followup on my previous message:

The remark about the MX address is not correct.
I have solved my issue with DNS, so my
    fido now has a IPv4 and a IPv6 address.
IPv6 enabled software should now choose IPv6

Today, we're joining the Internet Society and several major Internet companies to announce World IPv6 Launch, a coordinated launch of the next-generation Internet protocol on June 6, 2012. This builds on the success and momentum of last year's World IPv6 Day by adding major contributions from ISPs and home networking vendors. With World IPv6 Launch, we'll collectively close the gaps and begin to deliver the end-to-end, next-generation Internet.

    Hello All,

Here is the article I wrote for FidoNews:

    === Cut ===

    World IPv6 Launch Day, 6 June 2012
By Michiel van der Vlist, 2:280/5555

Last year we had Iv6 day. On 8 June 2011, many content providers
made their web sites also available via IPv6 for 24 hours. This
time on 6 June 2012, they will do better. It will be switched on.
Period. Not for 24 hour, not for a week, not for a month, not for
    a year, but permanently.

There is more. Not only will content providers join in, Network
operators and Home router vendors will join in as well. The ISPs
that join in have committed themselves to provide native IPv6 to
new customers by default and to upgrade old customers, so that by
World IPv6 Day, at least 1% of their customers will have working
    IPv6.

Home router vendors that join have committed themselves to have
all new router models they sell to be fully IPv6 capable and to
have it enabled by default, so that customers will not have to do
anything to have IPv6 up and running.

The lists of participants is at http://www.worldipv6launch.org/

The list of content providers is already quite large. 316 entries
as of today, Saturday 21 January. The list of Network Operators is
shorter. 18 entries so far. Among then two from The Netherlands:
    BIT BV and XS4All.

The list of home router vendors is even shorter, just Cisco and
D-Link have joined so far. Hopefully more will join, there is still
    over four month to go.

So how is FidoNet doing? Well, we are not bleeding edge, but we are
waking up. As of now there are two Fido Over IP mailers that support
IPv6. First there is Michiel Broek's MBSE and second there is Andre Grueneberg's version of Binkd. There are five sysops known to run an
IPv6 capable Binkp server: Michiel Broek of 2:280/2802, Kees van Eeten
of 2:280/5003, Andre Grueneberg of 2:2411/525, Benny Pedersen of
2:230/53 and Wilfred van Velzen of 2:280/464. Less than one percent of
all Binkp capable nodes, butit is a start and I hope many more will
    join before IPv6 Launch Day.

H‚ mr. Editor, how about a periodic list of IPv6 capable nodes?

As for myself, I am not there yet. My LAN is IPv6 capable and connected
to the IPv6 InterNet, but I am in the process of moving my FidoNet
stuff to another platform and it looks like I will have to make the
switch from AMA to BSO as my favorite IP mailer, IREX seems to be
    abandonware.

Also in the works is an update for ftsc.org. We hope to have it
    available via IPv6 next month.

So let us get that old bleeding edge spirit out of the closet again.
If you do not have an IPv6 capable internet connection yet, read my
previous articles on the subject. Join us on Fido6. You have over
    four month.

BTW, the 6 June 2012 is also the day of a rare astronomical event:
Venus will pass in front of the Sun.

MvdV>> more will join before IPv6 Launch Day.

You mention Benny Pedersen, but forget qico.

its not ipv6 at all, its xinetd served, so i cant call ipv6 nodes from qico still, but serving ipv4 / ipv6 works fine

who will patch qico for me to be 100% working ipv6 client ?

binkd client can use squid ipv6 tunnel, shame on me :)

qico have no proxy so not possible with qico

mbse is imho only native ipv6/server ipv6/client

I agree, but de one Benny runs supports IPv6. I beleive you and/or
Benny integrated the patch into Gentoo.

its not complete working in 0.57.1-r2 ebuild, aclocal does fail

will have to ask other gentoo devs to help me solve it, the patch to ipv6 apply nicely btw, maybe not using same automake / autoconf versions ?
