Typo error on my part. It's tough getting used to a new IPv6 address when you've had the same one memorized for quite some time. :)

Thanks for the tests, Ricsi! I knew I'd get it all figured out at some point. Hopefully my native IPv6 isn't as wonky as it was a year or so ago and I can stick with it. Although I'll probably have to setup a static v6 ip, since I'm pretty sure every time I reboot the machine it changes.

BTW, is that pronounced "Richie?" as a short form of Richard?

    Regards,
    Nick

Without privacy extension it should not change.
And even with privacy extension the same address is used for incoming sockets. PE address should only be used for outgoing connections.

BTW, is that pronounced "Richie?" as a short form of Richard?

    Yepp ... exactly.
Cs is a hungarian diphtong pronounced "tsch"

Good point. For a minute there I had forgotten that dhcpcd enables slaac private by default now. I've disabled that and have my original MAC based suffix back. So it shouldn't change on me any more. I've redone my router config and my AAAA records to reflect the current address. Should be good to go now. :)
