Looks like HitdogEd fails to append a trailing space to the signature separator, which shall consist of two minuses and a space. The space is
absent (see my dig). Can it be fixed?

You may insert the "-- " in the first line of your signature.

The default "--" will be visible above your signature, however. Unless you manually delete it when editing your message, of course.

This is fixed in the templates available through any SQL editor.
Templates are not available from Hotdoged settings, the author never finalized this.
