I'm not sure what an F-droid is but on my Android phone I installed from the play store. It's free.

You'll also need the fidonet provider for binkp support or the NNTP provider for NNTP support.

What is that F-droid you speak of?

f-droid.org is an Android app store free from google services as far as possible based on open source. See https://github.com/f-droid

It is very useful if you operate an older smartphone with latest security patches under LineageOS ( lineageos.org ).

There is none. There was a direct .apk link back in 2017 but i'm not sure if that one is still valid and/or intended to be re-published. I'll hope that Sergey would comment it.

Note that you would need the hotdoged apk and one or both provider apk.

    Regards

Interesting. I think Hotdoged would fit in nicely there.

Just a shoutout for LineageOS; I ran a Samsung S3 on CyanogenOS (and later LineageOS) for several years, the only reason I stopped was because the developer who supported the S3 build broke his S3 and got a new phone.

Vanilla Android with current security patches (and no adware/add-on crap)
long after your carrier or vendor have forgotten your phone. Nice.
