MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: Pineapple & Pork Teriyaki Skewers
    Categories: Pork, Fruits, Vegetables, Wine
    Yield: 4 servings

    7 tb Dark soy sauce
    7 tb Mirin
    7 tb Sake
    1 tb Sugar
    1 1/2 lb Pork tenderloin; in 1 1/2"
    - pieces
    1/2 Pineapple; peeled; in 1"
    - cubes
1/2 sm Red onion; in 1" pieces
    2 tb Olive oil
    Thin sliced scallions;
    - garnish

In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce with the mirin,
sake, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook
until the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Remove from
the heat and let the teriyaki sauce cool completely. In a
medium bowl, toss the pork with 1 cup of the teriyaki
sauce and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Light a grill. Thread pieces of pork with pieces of
pineapple and onion onto wooden skewers, and then brush
all the skewers with the olive oil. Grill the skewers,
turning as needed and basting with remaining teriyaki
sauce, until cooked through, 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer
the skewers to a serving platter and let rest for 5 to 10
minutes. Sprinkle the skewers with scallions before
    serving.

No, *I* posted to the right area (Home Cooking) but the BBS I was using renumbered the echoes between the time I downloaded the packet and sent up the reply packet. It shouldn't happen again .... touches wood.

In any event - they were good recipes.

Oh shit... now you had to say that... I thought that was the recipes to heaven!! ;)

They did look good... i remember when this echo was really going strong. It was the most popular group on my BBS back in the day. There was a group that met every Sunday morning at a breakfast place that literally was built under the overpass of the bridge form Louisville to Southern Indiana.

It's name was the RUM group. The Restaraunt I can't remember the name was literally under the bridge. RUM stood for Raise A Mug. It was a fast-foody type restaraunt but they still served there coffee in the place in mugs.

They also had evening chat groups called RAGs (Rais a Glass) where wine was featured instead of coffee.
