• Field Day?

    Hello There,

Attended a couple Field Day locations near me today. Tried my hand at the usual
HF 80m/40m/20m, and VHF 2m, and UHF 70cm bands. But this time I also tried some
satellite QSO's. The com cycles were rather short but did make some contacts.

I'm not active at all other than local repeaters and such, but I
wouldn't mind making a satellite connection sometime... :-) Not
on my bucket list, but it is on my 'would be cool' list. :-)

... Alex, I'll take "things that only I know" for $1000.

I heard FT8 was used heavily. I didn't make it at all...I was staying
at a local motel, after storm damage resulted in no power or air
conditioning at my home for nearly 2 weeks.

Glad to hear that things were any worse than they could have been.

There were a few people at FD that were doing FT4, FT8, and PSK*. I did notice thought that sadly there were fewer people doing CW contacts. The sat freqs were jammed though. :-)
