not a keystroke, no, but you can easily put

    XC: echotag1, echotag2, echotag3

in the very first line of the message body listing the additional
echos the message will be posted in besides the one you are currently writing in... it works just like CCing netmails...

You don't have to put it in the first line.

I don't think you understand how, in the grand scheme of
    Fidonet-things, irrelevant Planet Connect was.

Again, that blanket of a statement does not hold light to those who
lived in the dead-zones of the US.

In the toll-bound USA of the '90s, it disrupted (in the proper sense of the word) the cost-recovery monopolies of the NECs who built billing systems
around their echomail backbones and turned moving echomail into a business.

You badly need to visit some national parks. I spend considerable time every year in Glacier and Yellowstone and 6 miles past the gate there isn't even cellphonce.

Back in 1997 I got 5 bars at a national park - I was at the top of Mount Whitney, at 14, 069 feet the highest peak in California. I was line of
sight to every cell tower at the time. :)

Sorry, all - I had an old QWK packet and had added a message area to my system, which threw the old packet off.

    Kurt,
Mt. Whitney is 14,505 feet above sea level and is the highest peak in the continental United States. It is located in the north east corner of Tulare County, of which Visalia is the County Seat.

At the top of Park Ridge, 7,516' inside Kings Canyon NP, I cannot get cell service at all (AT&T). However, there is a Verizon tower there and those
who have that provider has excellent service. I can use my AT&T phone
connected to the WIFI we have there and make calls, send and receive texts.

In the early 1990's, I had a "bag" phone, which was analog, and could make phone calls in front of the Giant Forest Lodge in Sequoia NP. The lodge is
    no longer there.

Sorry, I couldn't resist talking about something in my "back yard".
I bet you had quite a view from there.

Loved the view, hated the mind-splitting headache. Every one in our party
got it from the altitude at one point or another. We went back down the mountain to the base camp at 9k or so, and the air felt *thick*.

After a couple of days of trail mix, protein bars, peets coffee and
backpacking meals, pizza in Lancaster tasted heavenly.

Kurt's system is misconfigured. This is happening in several other echoes and not just in Fidonet either. He's been made aware of the issue by me.

    Later,
