some of the wording is a bit dated, i.e references to Mail Hour, phone numbers, 2.2 even asks for a phone number on application and maximum baud rate!! even tho I know there are still some that use dial up, (how do you connect?) its not how MOST future and present possible applicants will be connecting to the (fido)Net.

what makes you think I might not want to be?
why should i care! so from that statement I assume that you didnt care before you obtained yours.. thus dont care about fidonet its self or at best dont care about the group's policy, to me that is unwise.

I do care, and one part of the policy (4.5) says 'policy, fidonews and nodelist are the glue.....' the policy could do with some fresh glue attaching. it also says policies are released at sporadic periods, well that no longer happens does it?
I hope you are just a node as the 'why should I care' comment you made goes against the policy as it is now, were it says to 'encourage new members'

This form of messaging and communicating is nothing like it used to be with far less users, users i feel should be held onto and encouraged to join or it will die out- eventually.The 'your not in the gang' attitude you show is narrow minded and not looking to the future of FidoNet - the echo you just posted in?
