Hiya DM...
I was playing with areafix on the hub to make sure all commanes were working properly. I did find, or at least I think I found, an issue.
I sent a %LIST and get back ALL the areas I'm linked to correctly.
I then send %UNLINKED, which I should receive nothing back yet I receive the same list as %LINK.

AREAS.BBS shows 24:100/1 is linked at the HUB.
I also have the .NA file in ../data folder listing all available subs.
The capitalization provides a clue: the LINKED echoes are in all-caps, while the UNLINKED echoes are in mixed-case, presumably from one of your "additional echolists".
That's correct. The sportnet.na is not all capitalized and it reads as stated. .
Not sure if this is an issue or sbbsecho has a bug...
It sounds like a bug (it shouldn't be included linked-areas in the UNLINKED areamgr report). What version of SBBSecho are you running?
SBBSecho v3.00-Linux (rev 3.28) - Synchronet FidoNet Echo
Hope this helps...
Is it possible those areas are listed as pass-through in your area file (areas.bbs)? So far, that's the only explanation I can come up with.
Should I remove the
sportnet.na file and just have them use the areas.bbs?
No, please keep it the way you have it and then you can confirm my
fix when I submit it (in a couple of days).
