• RNtrack 2.1.9/Lnx

From Dan Richter@1:317/3 to Michael Dukelsky on Thu Oct 22 21:21:10 2020
    Hi Michael,

I know this is the Husky echo, but I'm hoping you might be able to help me out with an issue with RNtrack.

I think I have everything set up in the config file correctly. I have been trying to run some tests through it on my test system, and I'm getting the following error:

Internal Error!!! Please, read report.err in documentation. ---------------------------------------
    2020-10-22 21:06:10 RNTrack 2.1.9/Lnx
    Check point: 309
    Signal: 11
    ---------------------------------------
    --- RNtrack 2.1.9/Lnx stopped.

I was trying to route a netmail message to a node that connects directly to this system.

It seems to be this section where it's crashing.

    ScanDir: "/home/dan/mystic/netmail/out"
    Mask: * * * 1:305/3.* * * *
    Action: RouteFilebox Direct 1:305/3

I also put the logging on 5, and this is the last few lines:

2020-10-22 21:06:10 Message is equal to mask.
    2020-10-22 21:06:10 Route message from 1:317/3.1 to 1:305/3 via 1:305/3 2020-10-22 21:06:10 Split kludge. p == 'Via', p2 == '1:317/3 RNtrack
    2.1.9/Lnx 22 Oct 2020 21:06:10 UTC-0600'
    2020-10-22 21:06:10 --- RNtrack 2.1.9/Lnx stopped.

I'm pretty sure it's something in my config file, but I haven't been able to track it down. Everything up until that point seems to be working fine. I've tried changing the Action: to 'Route Normal 1:305/3', Route Normal %', and nothing seems to make any difference.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, but I stopped supporting RNtrack. Its last version was 2.1.10. Try it, maybe it will help.

I'll take a look at the newest version.

I figured it didn't hurt to ask. :)

    Thanks,

I just tried to unarchive it, and I'm getting:

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
    tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

It should be 2.1.10, not 1.1.10. Look here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ftrack-as/files/RNtrack/2.1.10/

BTW, there is also a Linux binary rntrack-2_1_10-lnx-x86_64.tar.bz2 there.

    -j, --bzip2

So use 'y' instead of 'z'...

the -z parameter is for gzip files, but this is a bzip2 file. Use the -j parameter for bzip2 files:

    tar -xvjf

newer tar versions do recognize the compression automatically. This should als work:

    tar -xvf

    or

    tar -xvaf

That was just a typo. That's what happens when you send a message at 3am...

Yes, and I'm getting the same error with that binary. It also states that it's version 2.1.9.

I've never had problems like that with a .bz2 file before...
