    I absolutely cannot get it to work. It does absolutely nothing with bundles/packets/whatever. I can't figure it out.

    Please run tparser:

    tparser -Dmodule=hpt

    It will tell you what is wrong in your hpt configuration.

    We will need a bit more input from you.
    HPT works nicely here and on many other systems, so my 99.9% suspicion is that your configuration is wrong.
    Recheck your config, activate debug messages and report some details here.
