    Hello Bj”rn,

The total losses of the Russian army as of March 30 were approximately

You do realize how silly these numbers make you look. To think Russia
may have lost a quarter of its fighting force within the first month of
combat in a minor country that is a threat to no one is ludicrous.

That is quite a stretch. Russia reported 14,400 killed through 10 years
of war in Afghanistan. And you are expecting us to believe Russia has
lost more troops in a month in Ukraine than it admits to have lost in
    10 years in Afghanistan.

Why should anybody believe those numbers? It is almost like saying
Ukrainians in Chernobyl repelled invading Russian soldiers by making
them radioactive, forcing them to withdraw into the woods never to
    return.

In WWII, the Soviet Union lost about 10 million soldiers and another
14 million civilians, yet persevered and managed to repel an invading
    German army.

To even contemplate soldiers from that same country as to be so
incompetent as to be unable to defend itself from a small country
that has few troops and no nukes is beyond my own imagination.

Please explain how this could possibly happen.

    Thanks.

Easy. It's an astonishing combination of corruption, incompetence and Mad Vlad's paranoia and delusions of grandeur.

While Ukraine, ever since Mad Vlad started this war in 2014, has rebuilt it's defence with the sole object of fighting this very type of war. With the help from mostly NATO, it has modernized training, strategy, equipment and more.

In the same time, Mad Vlad has wasted 95% on high profile, extremely expensive weapons, meant to be used in a completely different type of war. New nukes, new tanks, new subs, new naval ships, new fighter jets and so on. All of them extremely expensive, none of them very useful in this war.

He failed to understand how important it is to spend resources on the "boring" but basic parts, like providing for the soldiers. He preferred to spend those money on his 500k big secret police fighting a war against his own citizens.

He sent mostly conscripts, who thought they were on an exercise and was poorly motivated, to fight an army with western style education, pay, equipment, accommodations. And those were highly motivated, fighting for family, freedom and country at their home turf.

Not to forget that they have the entire free world backing them up. Constantly donating, resupplying them with new equipment. And the sanctions *are* making a difference already now.

Most of the former Warsaw Pact countries (including eastern Germany), now westernised, are emptying their warehouses with old obsolete Soviet era equipment, from fighter jets and tanks to handguns and ammo, that many of the Ukraine soldiers are used to and know how to handle.

All while Mad Vlad's boys are getting nothing from home. They are instructed to go steal what they need from the civilians. And they do. Including money and cell phones.

This all gotta be a huge boost for the brave Ukraine freedom fighters.
