Russell Tiedt was the last existing node in Zone 5 for while.. When
Russell left Fidonet, Z5 folded. Recently Russell has come back to
Fidonet, but rather than restart his "Zone of 1", he decied to join Z3
    as 3:3/50.

I agree... It simply does not make sense to have a whole zone for just
    one system.

How about a zone with maybe 4 active nodes?

    Bye, Wilfred.

It does make sense in my opinion, when these nodes are geographically close and share content in common that's not echoed to the other
    regions, for instance.

    I think it's totally redicioulus. ;)

Zone 4 has more or less 6 active nodes, but has been experiencing
growth, with many Sysops reactivating their systems.

I could only connect to 4 with binkd. There are 3 systems which hostnames doesn't even resolve. For instance the Region 88 node. I think they should be removed from the list!

4 is better than 1, in my opinion :)

But still too little to form a zone!

    Bye, Wilfred.

Drop this discussion. If you need to discuss this, use netmail.

Don't be redicioulus. The discussion is about fidonet, and I'm not flaming!

    Bye, Wilfred.

There were no hostilities. But Janis doesn't like us discussing the
very small size of Z4 for some reason...

The discussion of whether a Zone in Fidonet should exist or not in today Fidonet is nothing that was discussed in the FIDOGAZETTE and Nothing I
    want
    in this echo.

That's not according to your own rules!: "... or just chat about Fidonet events."

    2nd Warning, Wilfred.

    Man you are trigger happy!

    Bye, Wilfred.

Now go away and stay away until you can stop fighting with the
    moderator.

Is that seat in the cheering section comfy for you?
