That's why I am slowly abandoning Facebook and trying to establish
a routine of taking one hour per week to go through a nice QWK
package.

It's been tough, I have to beat the anxiety of checking for answers,
but it's a good exercise.

consider posts over a month old as "timely".

What I've done is if they get this way, I just BLOCK them...and it automatically unfriends them. I also set my Friends List to "Only Me",
so when someone requests to be added to me friends list, they only see
"Mutual Friends".

Several of the bizarre graphics I download, and place in a file board
over here called "The Bizarre Bazaar" (for verified users in good
standing at least 18 or older). Some days, I really need a laugh.

With being Power Of Attorney for my elderly Mom, and dealing with all
her finances, bills, etc., as well as visiting her in a nearby rehab
center (2 miles from my apartment), all of my hobbies (including BBSing)
have had to take a back seat. There is a lot of work to be done on it,
but family has to come first.

Then, we're in an unsettled weather pattern, with a threat of both
severe thunderstorms and flooding through Tuesday. We do need the rain,
to lower the fire danger, and the drought status.

At least I don't need eye surgery right now...I thought I had a
detached or torn retina, but that's not the case.

One thing that has made it easier for me is a web browser add-on
called "Fluff Busting Purity" (fbpurity.com). It allows you to
eliminate all the annoying ads, group suggestions, etc. and set it to
what YOU want to see...such as the "Friends Feed", rather than the "Top Stories" as Facebook FORCES upon others.

Got to do what's needed. A former high school classmate has entered
several profiles, but every time I see it, I block her. Her son has been
in trouble with the law, she's bi-polar, and they basically have "way
too much drama and baggage" for me.

I've been on Facebook for over 10 years, and have finally, after many tries, completely closed my account for the same reason. Over 4900 so called friends, and an endless string of Trump discussion and interpretation. Done my man.

You know I did not support either of them (or vote for either of them) in
the last election, but my problem friends on fb are all anti-trumpites.
They are the ones that are constantly posting hateful political junk and belly-aching. If they and their party don't get over it, and spend their time instead on finding someone worth voting for, they will have 4 more years of what they have now.

I haven't been on facebook, so I couldn't say... but if it what you are talking
about is an aversion of children of refugees, throwing them in friggin' camps (C'mon Mike, you know it is wrong)... Doing so in such a haphazard way that they can't even FIND the children's parents.. that is sick.

If that is what they are 'belly-aching' about, that "belly-aching" is more than
justified.

What about our President essentially sleeping with Putin? Do you think that is
a wise move? I don't.

What about Trump knowing that Putin and his buds have tried to sway our election? Do you think that's ok? I don't.

Trumps 'number is up' and I think he knows it now. His tweetsorm over the weekend said to me he is starting to panic big time - and as Muller gets down to business he will continue to put his family and associates "under the bus" to save his own ass. Thankfully he can still be convicted of conspiracy after he leaves office.

If they and their party don't get over it, and spend their time

I agree we have to find a good candiate in the Democratic party. I'm hoping for
a big swing to the left in the house.
